» Retreat Facilities (26)This retreat has a rich history having been a charming country church for over 60 years. It's been lovingly restored & renovated into a beautiful craft retreat - a sanctuary for crafters of all types! The craft room is located in the 1,000 square foot sanctuary with over 20 foot ceilings & plenty of natural light through the many beautiful windows. 12 five foot work tables & 2 granite dining tables grace this lovely yet comfortable room. Our fully equipped kitchen is located on what was the altar of this unique church building, and overlooks the sun-filled craft room. It will be a treat to craft in such a gorgeous space!
We provide all bedding, towels, soaps, shampoo & toiletries for our guests - making your stay as enjoyable & worry-free as possible. We offer an exercise room with a treadmill, thigh master & stair-stepper for those with excess energy. We also have an invigorating massage chair on-site & can provide a list of massage therapists willing to give personal attention at the retreat.
Best of all, we're located in the fun, yet relaxing city of Duluth! You'll be just a few short minutes from Canal Park, Lake Superior & the Miller Hill Mall. Plus there are serveral craft stores, grocery stores, restaurants & movie theatres nearby. You can spend your weekend crafting or get out & enjoy some of the scenic & historic tourist sites of Duluth! And you don't have to worry about breaking your budget to come to our retreat - we offer weekend packages for as little as $33 per person per night!

We spent a beautiful, northwoods fall weekend at the Crafter's Sanctuary with friends and family. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Lots of light in the room, and a well-equipped kitchen. Beds were very comfortable and ample room for all of us. The restored church has been tastefully decorated and is comfortable and well-furnished. We had some meals there, and went down to the Lakewalk and out to a delicious dinner. I would definitely recommend the Crafter's Sanctuary.

We had a cousins crafting weekend here and couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Crafter's Sanctuary. The crafting area had plenty of light for our scrapbooking and sewing needs. We loved that the kitchen overlooked the crafing area so when you needed a little coffee break, you could still participate in conversation that was going on in the crafting room. Everything was very well thought out-from the kitchen stocked with anything we needed for prepping our meals to comfortable beds. I would highly recommend this unique crafting retreat.
